Judgment

CORAM:- HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE RANJIT SINGH

Operative part

1.

Whether Reporters of local papers may be allowed to see the judgement? 2. To be referred to the Reporters or not? 3. Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? PRESENT: Mr. S.K. Bawa, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. KS Pannu, AAG, Punjab for the State. Mr. Pardeep Bajaj, Advocate, for respondent Nos.4 to 6. **** RANJIT SINGH, J. The petitioner is a mother and seeks custody of her child. The child is presently in the custody of grand-mother. It was pointed out before the Court that the petitioner is an accused of abetment of suicide of her husband and is at large as her prayer for anticipatory bail has been rejected by this Court. Once the petitioner herself is on run, it would not be appropriate to hand over the custody of the child to her. The petitioner may revise her prayer as and when she is released on bail, which shall then be considered on the merits of the case. The petition is dismissed at this stage. March 05, 2012 monika ( RANJIT SINGH ) JUDGE
