The delay in the trial and disposal of the suit is pointed out to seek for issue of directions to the court below for its expeditious disposal. Report from the learned SubJudge was called for. The report would indicate that the case is ripe for trial after completion of the steps thereof. Having regard to the submissions made and the grievance espoused by the petitioner, who is stated to be 73 years old, and also the contents of the report received from the learned Sub Judge, it is ordered that giving the suit top priority every endeavour shall be made by the Sub Judge to dispose the suit as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within aperiod of eight months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment.
