R3 BY DR.ELIZABETH VARKEY THIS MOTOR ACCIDENTS CLAIMS APPEAL HAVING COME UP FOR DETERMINATION AT LOK ADALAT AND THE PARTIES HAVING SETTLED THE MATTER, THE FOLLOWING AWARD IS PASSED IN TERMS OF SETTLEMENT: JUSTICE T.K.CHANDRASEKHARA DAS (RETIRED JUDGE, HIGH COURT OF KERALA) AND SHRI. K.J.THOMAS STANLEY (RETIRED ADDL. DISTRICT JUDGE) ------------------------------------------------------------- M.A.C.A. NO: 564 OF 2007-G ------------------------------------------------------------- Dated this the 18th March, 2008. A W A R D Heard both sides. It has been agreed by both parties that the appellants will be entitled to an additional amount of Rs.30,000, over and above what has been awarded by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal. This amount will be deposited by the third respondent-insurance company within sixty days from the date of receipt of a copy of the award, failing which it will carry interest at the rate of 9% per annum from the date of default till MACA 564/07 -2- payment.
