Chatterjee, A.P.P. ----- 02 / Dated : 04.02.2026 Heard learned counsel for the parties. The petitioner named above has been made accused in connection with Senha P.S. Case No. 76 of 2022 for the offences registered under Sections 12(1)(2) of the Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005 and Section 3, 11, 29, 35, 38 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960, pending in the court of S.D.J.M., Lohardaga. As per the FIR, 12 bovine animals were being transported for the purpose of slaughter. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was not apprehended on the spot and he has been roped in this case on the basis of the statements given by the villagers. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. Under the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on depositing Rs.25,000/- as cash security and on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Court below.
