Heard learned counsel for the parties including learned State Counsel, Assam re presenting the official respondents. As agreed to and keeping in view the issue raised in this writ petition and also upon hearing the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition stands clo sed today itself with a direction to the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Dispur, Guwahati-6 to consider and d ispose of the representation dated 2.5.2007 (Annexue-8 to the writ petition) f iled by the petitioner before him in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 10 (ten) days from the date of receipt o f the certified copy of this order. Petitioner shall be at liberty to furnish the certified copy of this order acco mpanied by a copy of the writ petition with all its Annexures appended thereto before the competent authority to do the needful. This disposes of the writ petition.
