It is contended by Mr Sarma that, one Managing Committee of the Society constituted on 30.10.2009, has issued necessary steps for holding the An nual General Meeting of the Society. However, although 26.02.2010 was fixed for holding of election and electing the members of the Managing Committee, the same could not be held in view of the interim restrictions. All the learned counsel for the appearing parties are unanimous in their submissions that the Annual Gen eral Meeting of the Society is required to be held as early as possible, wherein the Managing Committee of the Society should be elected. It is the statutory re quirement under the Act to hold such meeting under Section 32 of the Act and to elect the Managing Committee. In view of the aforesaid discussions and submissions, this writ petition stands disposed of, with direction that the Annual General Meeting of D hubri Whole Sale Consumers Cooperative Stores Limited, shall be held within a pe riod of 4 (four) weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. It sh all be the responsibility of the Deputy Registrar, as well as the Assistant Regi strar, Co-operative Societies, Dhubri, Assam, to hold the Annual General Meeting of the Society within the aforesaid period in accordance with the provisions of the Act/ Rules and Byelaws of the Society. It is submitted by the learned couns el appearing for the parties that in the meantime, necessary correction of Voter List including the updating of the member list is over. The Registrar of the C o-operative Societies, Assam, is directed to monitor the entire affairs for hold ing the Annual General Meeting of the Society. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands dispose d of.
