#1. Learned counsel for the petitioner makes a limited prayer seeking directions to be issued to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer, for taking a final decision in respect to the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner for change of his surname and father's name in his secondary school Mark-sheet/Certificate. Learned counsel for the petitioner has also drawn attention of this Court to the Communication dt.21.08.2025, whereby the competent Authority of the C.B.S.E., Ajmer, has called upon the petitioner to submit certain necessary documents to deal with his prayer. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the required documents have already been submitted with the respondent No.1-C.B.S.E., but the final decision upon the request of the petitioner has not been taken so far. Learned counsel for the [2025:RJ-JP:40370] (2 of 2) [CW-14032/2025] petitioner has relied upon the judgment passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Jigya Yadav v. C.B.S.E. & Ors. [(2021) 7 SCC 535].

In view of the limited submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner before this Court and looking to the fact that the issue involved concerns the future prospects of petitioner in taking admission, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent No.1-C.B.S.E. to consider and decide the prayer of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
#4. Ordered accordingly. The petitioner will be free to approach this Court in case any adverse order is passed.
#5. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition stands disposed of.
