CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE L. N. MITTAL * * * Present : Mr. B. S. Bhalla, Advocate for the petitioner. * * * L. N. MITTAL, J. (Oral) : Jagtar Singh has filed this second petition for bail in case FIR No. 341 dated 19.11.2007, under Sections 15 and 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Jagraon, District Ludhiana. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the case file. The petitioner does not deserve the concession of bail because commercial quantity of poppy husk weighing 390 kilograms has allegedly been recovered from the petitioner and his co-accused. The petitioner absconded and was even declared Proclaimed Offender and ultimately surrendered on 21.02.2009. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that there has not been satisfactory progress in the trial. This grievance of the petitioner can be Crl. Misc. No. M-8119 of 2010 2 redressed by directing the trial court to expedite the trial, but the petitioner does not deserve the concession of bail. Dismissed. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial. March 22, 2010 monika ( L. N. MITTAL ) JUDGE
