Harbans Lal, J. *** This petition has been moved by Sukhwinder Singh, under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking temporary release on parole for four weeks to attend the marriage of his son to be solemnized on 19.02.2009. As averred in the application, the petitioner was arrested in case F.I.R.No.229 under Section 15/61/85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and was convicted and sentenced by the learned Judge, Special Court, Ludhiana. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties besides persuing the record with due care and circumspection. This petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent, Central Jail, Ludhiana to take the petitioner- Sukhwinder Singh to the place of marriage i.e. Kulvir Palace, G.T.Road, Kadoon, Kotli Road, Doraha on 19.02.2009 and the moment marriage ceremony is over, he shall be taken back and lodged in the jail.
