Judgment

Mr.Ajay A.Joshi for the Petitioners. Mr.A.B.Vagyani, AGP for Respondent Nos.1 to 3, 7 and 8. ..... CORAM : DR.D.Y.CHANDRACHUD AND R.D.DHANUKA, JJ. July 19, 2012. P.C. : The Petitioner was appointed as a Class IV employee in the Lokmanya Vidyalaya at Pandharpur on 22 May 1985. According to the Petitioner, the appointment was approved by the Deputy Director, Vocational Training and Placement, who is the Third Respondent. As a result of a new staffing pattern approved by the State Government, several posts in various classes became surplus. On 20 March 2012, a direction was issued by the Director (Vocational) for the absorption of such persons in accordance with law. Following this, the Petitioner was informed that he has been transferred to the Sixth Respondent, which is a Junior College at VBC 2/2 wp6091.12-19.7 Latur. The grievance of the Petitioner is that the institution to which he was transferred has not allowed the Petitioner to join. Several representations have been submitted by the Petitioner, including a representation dated 30 April 2012. In these circumstances, we consider it appropriate to direct the Third Respondent, the Deputy Director of Vocational Training and Placement, Pune, to take necessary steps to redress the grievance of the Petitioner. The Third Respondent shall pass necessary orders within a period of one month from the date on which an authenticated copy of this order is placed on record. The Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. ( Dr.D.Y.Chandrachud, J.) ( R.D. Dhanuka, J. )
