Act. praying the High Court to release the petitioner on bail pending enquiry and trial in Crime No. 30 of 2004-05 of Proh. & Excise Police Station West, Vijayawada, Krishna District. The Court made the following :

ORDER :

Operative part

Petitioner seeks bail in connection with the offence registered against him under Sections 8 (c) read with 20 (b) of NDPS Act, 1985. He has been in judicial custody from 23-6-2004 onwards. The quantum of Ganja said to have been seized from him is Kg. 2.700 grms., which is not a commercial quantity. Having regard to the fact that, he has been in judicial custody for the last more than one month, his request for bail may be considered. In the result, the petition is allowed and the petitioner shall be enlarged on bail, on his executing a bond for Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Vijayawada.
