Sri M. Ravindranath Reddy Counsel for respondents 3&4: Sri T. Rajeswara Rao for Sri D.V. Nagarjuna Babu This Court made the following: THE HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE C.V.NAGARJUNA REDDY WRIT PETITION No.5584 of 2003

ORDER:-

In this writ petition, the petitioner questioned the action of the respondents in raising a doubt about her social status and in not granting admission to her in the first year MBBS course for the academic year 2002-2003. At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in pursuance of the interim order granted by this Court, the petitioner was admitted into the MBBS course and she has also completed the said course. In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for consideration. However, completion of the medical course by the petitioner does not preclude the competent authority from enquiring into her social status in accordance with the provisions of the A.P. (SC, ST and BCs) Regulation of Issue of Community Certificates Act, 1993. Subject to the above observation, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition as infructuous, WPMP.No.7340 of 2003 filed by the petitioner for interim relief is also dismissed. Date: 22.12.2009 _____________________________ C.V. NAGARJUNA REDDY, J ES
