This Writ Petition is filed seeking a declaration that the alleged inaction on the part of the respondents in finalizing the enquiry and issuing social status certificate as claimed by the petitioner is arbitrary and illegal. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare, under instructions, states that the 1st respondent-District Collector, has already called for the required report from the 3rd respondent as per the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh (SC, ST & BCs) Regulation of Issue of Community Certificates Act, 1993 and necessary orders will be passed as soon as the report is received from the 3rd respondent. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to complete the enquiry contemplated under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh (SC, ST & BCs) Regulation of Issue of Community Certificates Act, 1993 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
