THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE V.V.S.RAO WRIT PETITION NO.22641 OF 2005, AND CONTEMPT CASE NO.60 OF 2006 COMMON ORDER: The Writ Petition is filed inter alia seeking a direction to N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, first respondent herein, to conduct election for electing a representative under Section 3(1)(b) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. This Court while admitting the Writ Petition issued interim direction to the University to conduct election. Alleging that the said order is disobeyed, petitioner filed the Contempt Case No.60 of 2006. At the stage of admission of the Contempt Case, learned Standing Counsel for first respondent University submits that in obedience to the orders of this Court a notification was issued on 4.2.2006 proposing to hold election on 22.3.2006. He also placed before this Court a xerox copy of the nomination paper filed by petitioner herein on 1.3.2006. Now that the election is scheduled on 22.3.2006, nothing remains in the Writ Petition or in the Contempt Case. The Writ Petition and the Contempt Case are accordingly dismissed. _______________
