RAJESH BINDAL

Case at a glance

Judgment

CORAM:- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH BINDAL Present:- Mr. Satish Chaudhary, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Navneet Singh, AAG, Haryana. **** RAJESH BINDAL, J. The allegations against the petitioners in the FIR are that they were taking 9 cows to Rajasthan. They were caught near the border of Rajasthan while taking the cows. They were booked under Sections 4-A/8, 2/80 of Punjab Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955. There is nothing on record to even suggest that the petitioners are either in dairy business or in the trade of cattles. Their village is situated far off from the place from where they were apprehended along with the cows. In these facts, I do not deem it to be a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail. Dismissed.
