CORAM: JUSTICE G. SATAPATHY ORDER(ORAL): 24.07.2026 Since these two bail applications arise out of one and same case record, the same are heard together and disposed of by this common order with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties.
These are bail applications U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioners for grant of bail in connection with Sonepur P.S. Case No. 113 of 2025 corresponding to S.T. Case No. 1/2 of 2026 pending in the file of learned Addl. District Judge, Sonepur, being charge sheeted for commission of offences punishable U/Ss. 310(4)/310(5) of BNS r/w. Section 25(1)(a) of Arms Act, on the allegation of congregating at an isolated place being armed with lethal weapons, along with co-accused persons and preparing to commit dacoity in some area.
Heard, Mr. Soumya Ranjan Das, learned proxy counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. Rajiv Kumar Mahanta, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No. 2480 of 2026, Mr. Amitav Tripathy, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No. 4836 of 2026 and Mr. P. Satpathy, learned Addl. PP in these matters and perused the record.
After having considered the rival submissions and taking into consideration the nature and gravity of the offences as alleged against the petitioners vis-(cid:224)-vis the accusations sought to be brought against them and regard being had to the pre-trial detention of the petitioners in custody since 08.11.2025/11.09.2025 with substantial progress in investigation and keeping in view grant of bail to co-accused Satis Goud by this Court in BLAPL No. 10386 of 2025 and taking into account the other circumstances on record in entirety including the inherent right of the accused to be presumed innocent until proven guilty at the trial, this Court without expressing any view on merit, admits each of the petitioners to bail.
Hence, these two bail applications of the petitioners namely Sasthi Bagh @ Sasti Bag (BLAPL No.2480 of 2026) and Sunil @ Chhotu Ghadia @ Sunil Ghadia (BLAPL No. 4836 of 2026) stand allowed and the petitioners are allowed to go on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) each with two solvent sureties for the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Court in seisin of the case on such terms and conditions as deem fit and proper by it.
Accordingly, these BLAPLs stand disposed of. Issue urgent certified copy of the order as per Rules. A soft copy of this order be immediately communicated to the concerned Court, who shall afterwards communicate the same to the concerned Jail through e-mail for reference. (G.
