17.01.2024 Siddharth Mridul, C.J.: Mr. L. Raju, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the applicants. The present miscellaneous application has been instituted on behalf of S. Dhiren Singh & Ors., the applicants, praying as follows:
In the premises stated above, Your Lordships’ may be graciously be pleased to consider the reasons given in the foregoing paras and circumstances stated therein as the sufficient cause for condoning the unintentional delay of 2 days only in filing the accompanying Contempt Appeal and the same be heard on merit after condoning the delay as the ends of justice may call for.
Mr. Juno Rahman, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, fairly does not oppose the present application. In view of the foregoing and considering the averments made in the present application, the same is allowed condoning the delay of 2 (two) days in filing the contempt appeal. Registry is directed to number the contempt appeal, if it is otherwise found to be in order, and list the same for admission. Sandeep JUDGE CHIEF JUSTICE
