As per proceedingsdated 29.1.2010, the petitioner was granted a regular permit to conductservices as “Super Fast”, on the route Pulpally - Chingavanam. According to the petitioner, on 1.3.2010 itself, the petitioner hadsubmitted the original of the Certificate of Registration and connectedrecords of his vehicle before the respondent for getting the regularpermit issued. The petitioner was then informed that the regular permitwould be issued only after obtaining the Service Verification Reportfrom the RTO, Thiruvananthapuram. This was because the vehicle wasgaraged at Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram and exemption frompayment of tax was obtained in respect of the said vehicle bysubmitting Exts.P2 and P2(a) G forms. The exemption was endorsedon the petitioner's Certificate of Registration only on 16.4.2010, asevidenced by Ext.P5. The petitioner complains that even afterobtaining Ext.P5 endorsement, the regular permit has not been issued Wpc 23240/20102to him in spite of repeated demands. Ext.P6 request is still pendingbefore the respondent. I have heard the learned Senior GovernmentPleader also.2. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed ofdirecting the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner, evidenced herein by Ext.P6, in accordance with law, and to passappropriate orders thereon, issuing the permit, as expeditiously aspossible and at any rate, within a period of two weeks from the date ofreceipt of a copy of this judgment.K.SURENDRA MOHAN, JUDGElgk
