TRUE COPY OF THE REMINDER REPRESENTATION DATED 6/8/2007 THUS SUBMITTED BY THE PETITIONER BEFORE THE RESPONDENT NOS.1 AND 2. P.R.RAMAN & T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR,JJ. ------------------------------- W.P.(C)NO.25794 OF 2007 -------------------------------- Dated this then 26th day of June, 2008 Raman,J. JUDGMENT This is a writ petition seeking various reliefs of which the relief regarding the construction of a bell stood redressed.

Of the subsisting grievance the most important of which is one regarding the replacement of broken idol of Lord Sudarsana Moorthy used for seeveli procession by a new one and to repair the Pallikkurup Koodaram inside the Sreekovil wherein Lakshminarayana Pooja is conducted. Thanthri has to give a 'Charth' so as to enable the Devaswom to prepare an estimate regarding the expenditure and to undertake the work relating thereto. So far no effective steps are taken to get the 'Charth' from the Thanthri. There is already an Upadesaka Samithi attached to the temple. Therefore, we think it appropriate to refer the matter to the Ombudsman, who may visit the Temple on a fixed date, after issuing notice to the Kshethra Upadesaka Samithi, the WP(C).No.25794/2007 -2- petitioner, the Devaswom and also to the Thanthry and to convene a meeting and find out an amicable solution. If any further order is called for, it is open to the Ombudsman to file a report regarding thereto.

There is a further grievance by the petitioner that the Sadyalayam after necessary repairs has not yet been handed over to the devotees for their use. This may also be discussed and if any further works are pending, the Ombudsman may fix a time limit to complete the said Sadyalayam. If there is any other grievance, it is open to the petitioner to bring it to the notice of the Ombudsman, at the time of his visit. A copy of this judgment along with copy of this writ petition shall be given to the Ombudsman. Judge. P.R.RAMAN, T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR, Judge. WP(C).No.25794/2007 kcv. -3-
