Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Barharwa P.S. Case No. 101/2023 for the offences registered under sections 21(C) of N.D.P.S. Act, 1985 and section 27(b) (ii)/28(A) of the Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940, pending in the court of Sri Manoj Kumar Singh, learned Sessions Judge, Sahibganj.
On 03.07.2023 at about 8.00 pm, Barharwa Police apprehended the petitioner along with co-accused Mohan Saha and seized about 140 bottles of Codeine Phosphate Syrup of 100 ml each. Quantum of recovered contraband comes within the purview of commercial quantity.
Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. Ranjeet/ Uploaded (Ambuj Nath, J)
