The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Complaint Case No. 5782 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 3,4(1)(a)(c)(d)(e)(h)(i)(k) and 38(3) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, Rules 47, 48, 49, 50, 52, 54 and 56 of the Cattle Transportation Rules, 1978, Rules 96 and 97 of the Transport of Animals (Amendment) Rules, 2001 and Sections 3, 4, 4(B)(2), 5/12(1)(2), (3) and 15 of the Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005, pending in the Court of Ms. Satya Bhama Kumari, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Dhanbad.
On 06.03.2025, truck of the petitioner bearing Registration No. BR- 02GC-4923 was intercepted by the informant party near G.T. Road, Asansol at Bihar Bengal Border. It is alleged that 57 animals were loaded on the said truck. Petitioner appears to be the owner-cum-driver of the said vehicle.
