The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Daltonganj Town P.S. Case No. 242/2025 registered under sections 317(5) of B.N.S., Section 11(2) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Section 12(1) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Daltonganj Town, Palamau.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that allegations are made of loading of bovine animals in the pickup van. He submits that the petitioners are driver-cum- owner of the said pickup van and only consignment has been booked by another person which was being carried out by the petitioners. He submits that the petitioners have no criminal antecedent which is disclosed in para 12 of the petition. On these grounds, he submits that the petitioners may kindly be provided privilege of anticipatory bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that allegations are there of carrying bovine animals.

Considering that petitioners are driver-cum-owner of the pickup van and only consignment has been booked by another person which was being carried out by the petitioners and the petitioners have no criminal antecedent which is disclosed in para 12 of the petition, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, the petitioners above named, are directed to surrender before the learned court within three weeks from today and in the event of their surrender / arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand)each with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Daltonganj Town, Palamau, in connection with Daltonganj Town P.S. Case No. 242/2025, subject to conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of B.N.S.S, 2023. satyarthi- ( Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, J.)
