Heard Advocate for the applicant and the learned A.P.P. for State. The applicant is the 3rd accused who has been convicted for the offence under section 8(c) r/w 20(b) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 The substantive sentence is of R.I. for six months. She has been sentenced to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default to undergo R.I. for one and half months. The applicant has already undergone sentence for a period of two months and three days. She was on bail pending the trial. Considering the limited duration of sentence and pendency of the old appeals in this court, she is entitled to be enlarged on bail pending the final disposal of the appeal.

Hence, I pass the following order : i) The applicant-Mrs. Rakhi Raju Thakur shall be enlarged on - 2 - the same bail on which she was enlarged during trial subject to filing fresh bail bonds within a period of six weeks from today. ii) Bail is granted subject to condition that the applicant will report to the office of Anti Narcotic Cell once in every calendar month till the disposal of the Appeal.
