PETITIONER ...RESPONDENTS The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents, at the instance of son-in-law of the petitioner, are frequently calling him to the police station and directing him to settle the matrimonial dispute between his daughter and son-in-law. He complains that respondents frequently calling him to the police station without his committing any offence punishable under any of the laws in force is arbitrary, illegal and is in violation of fundamental right of life and liberty. In the circumstances stated, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents not to call the petitioner to the police station unless a crime is registered against him and only after informing him about the registration of crime and the section of law under which it (the crime) is registered.
