Provisions considered
Judgment
All these three writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners questioning the resumption orders passed by the 1st respondent- Tahsildar, Edlapadu in Rc.No.148/06-A, dated 19.04.2007 under Section 4(1)(a) of the A.P. Assigned Land (Prohibition of Transfers) Act ( for short “the Act”) on the ground that the lands which have been resumed are the assigned lands assigned in favour of the landless poor and the said landless poor have alienated the same in favour of the petitioners in contravention of sub-section 1 of Section 3 of the said Act. Against the said orders, it is open for the aggrieved persons to file an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer concerned. Therefore, as there is an alternative remedy of filing appeal under
Operative part
Section 4-A of the Act, I am of the opinion that the writ petitions are not maintainable and they are liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, all the writ petitions are dismissed with liberty to file an appeal before the appellate authority and seek appropriate orders. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________ V.ESWARAIAH, J. Date:21.01.2008 Ccm
