This petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of order dated 19th March 2025, passed by this Court in WP(C) 3356/2025. The directions which were passed this Court are extarcted as under: This is a digitally signed order. Directions were given to the University of Delhi/respondent to dispose of the representation within a period of one week by a speaking order; the University passed an order on 25th March 2025, rejecting the petitioner’s claim and advising the petitioner to appear for the re-examination of the subject in question at the earliest opportunity in order to complete his degree requirements.

Copy of the said decision has been handed up in Court and given to counsel for petitioner as well. The same may be filed and placed on record.

Counsel for the petitoner has raised an issue that order dated 25th March 2025, was never communicated to them and as a result, they have to bear expenses to file this contempt petition. Moreover, the petitioner is a 22 year-old student.

4. In order to ameliorate the petitioner’s grievance and expense, the University shall pay the petitioner an amount of Rs.7,000/- which has been incurred to file the said contempt petition. The same may be paid within next two weeks.
