The present petition arises out of an award dated 22.03.2002 in a claim petition which was filed in the year 1993.

By the Impugned Award, the learned Labour Court has granted the Respondent No.1/Workman reinstatement with full back wages with effect from 11.04.1992.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Respondent/ Company was closed down since 1992 itself and that this contention was set out before the learned Labour Court as well in its pleadings. He further submits that in view of the aforegoing, the Petitioner is open to an amicable settlement.
