At the very outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that by way of this petition, the petitioner has sought promotion to the higher post i.e. Assistant Engineer. The promotion has already been granted by order dated 14-10-2005 (Annexure - R/1), however, if some grievances remain, liberty may be granted to the petitioner to make a representation to the concerned authorities.

2. At this juncture, learned counsel appearing for the State submits that if a representation is made by the petitioner, the same will be considered and decided by the respondent authorities, in accordance with law and on its own merits.
