ORDER:
The instant criminal petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short ‘Cr.P.C)/under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) has been filed by the Petitioner/Accused No.2, seeking quashment of the proceedings pending against him in SC/ST SC.No.55 of 2022 on the file of the learned VI Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum- Special SC and ST Court, Kurnool.
Heard Sri Y.Balaji, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor on behalf of the State.
Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner herein is A2, who is Bank employee and a false case has been lodged relating to land dispute. Learned counsel further would submit that a direction may be given to the Special Court for speedy disposal of the matter.
Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders.
Considering the submissions made, without causing any prejudice to the rights and contentions of the petitioner, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. However, the learned Special Judge is directed to dispose of the case as 4 expeditiously as possible without granting adjournments in a casual way by mere asking. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
