The petitioners claims that they are causal employees under the contractor engaged by ITD Cementation India Limited. They claim to have worked for a substantial period of time and are infact workmen of M/s. ITD Cementation India Limited. They have made representation on

03.04.2023 before the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner 2nd M.S.O. Building, 5th Floor, Nizam Palace, Kolkata – 700020/respondent no. 2.

In that view of the matter, the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner 2nd M.S.O. Building, 5th Floor, Nizam Palace, Kolkata – 700020/respondent no. 2 shall look into the representation of the petitioners and take steps within the meaning of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, inter alia, in the form of conciliation and submit a report to the appropriate government, as mandatory in law.
