Heard Sri Rafiuddin Ansari, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ashok Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the respondent. By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus to command respondent no. 4 to consider the claim of the petitioner for family pension. She claims divorced daughter of Late Istiyaq Husain and claims family pension under the relevant government order issued protecting interest of divorced daughter. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the above regard, petitioner has already approached the competent authority by moving representation dated 8.5.2025 before competent authority, which has not been disposed of till date. It is further submitted that till date no decision has been taken in the matter and petitioner has been asked to furnish certain more documents vide letter dated 26.6.2025. Sri A.K.Pandey, learned counsel for the respondent submits that petitioner has herself not furnished any reply to the notice issued to her on 26.6.2025 and in the absence of requisite documents required by respondent, she could not be accorded any benefit of the family pension. Having heard the rival submissions and perused the record, I hereby direct the petitioner to furnish requisite documents as demanded in the letter dated 2 WRIA No. 13144 of 2025

26.6.2025 along with application within a period of four weeks from today and in the event any application is filed seeking family pension, shall be disposed of on merits by the competent authority, namely, respondent no. 4 within a further period of two months.
