3. At t he t im e of filing of writ pet it ion, pet it ioner was serving as Addit ional Direct or. He prayed t hat prom ot ional exercise for supplying vacancy on t he post of Direct or, Agricult ure be init iat ed as he is eligible and t he post is also lying vacant for now. 4. Pet it ioner also challenged t he order dat ed 30.06.2015 whereby respondent no.2 was given officiat ing charge as Direct or. 5. Learned St at e Counsel subm it s t hat pet it ioner ret ired on 31.08.2016 it self and aft er his ret irem ent t he reliefs, as claim ed t he writ pet it ion, do not survive. 6. Aft er going t hrough t he pleadings and prayer m ade in t he writ pet it ion, t his Court is also of t he considered opinion t hat reliefs claim ed by t he pet it ioner do not survive aft er nine years.
