O R D E R D.B. CIVIL WRIT PETITION NO. 319/2009 RAJ KUMAR SONI Vs. STATE OF RAJASTHAN & ORS. Date: 18.03.2009 HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE K.S. RATHORE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SATYA PRAKASH PATHAK Mr. Anshuman Saxena, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Sanjeev Mehla, Addl. Govt. Counsel for State. **** The convict has prayed in this writ petition to convene a meeting of the Advisory Board under the Shortening of Sentence Rules and to place the case of the petitioner before the Board for consideration. Reply to the petition has been filed by the respondents. From perusal of the reply, it appears that the comments from the concerned Collector and Superintendent of Police were called and soon the comments are received, the matter will be considered by the Advisory Board. Learned Additional Govt. Counsel submits that the matter of convict is to be placed in the next meeting of the Advisory Board. In view of the above, we do not find it proper to pass any order at this stage, however, it is expected from the concerning authorities to consider the matter of the convict under the Rules in its meeting which is reported to take place shortly. [2] DBCWP 319/2009 In the above circumstances, the writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. (SATYA PRAKASH PATHAK),J. (K.S. RATHORE),J. /KKC/
