(Oral) The present application is filed under Section 24 read with Section 151 of Code of Civil Procedure for transfer of the civil suit No.29 of 11.11.2009 titled as “Beant Singh Vs. Simarjit Kaur and others” from the Court of Civil Judge, Junior Division, Ropar to any other Court of competent jurisdiction at Kapurthala. Learned counsel for the respondent contends that the case is at the stage of evidence. He undertakes to complete his evidence within two consecutive days. The civil suit for transfer pertains to the year 2009. The applicant has already put in appearance before the trial TA No.430 of 2011 -2- court at number of occasions. The husband-respondent is a proclaimed offender and presently, residing in the States of America. The respondent i.e. Father-in-law, is to look after her unmarried daughter, who is mentally challenged and have suicidal tendency. Thus, transferring the petition at such an belated stage would further delay the proceeding before the trial Court. Accordingly, the present application is dismissed. The ld. trial court will make every endeavour to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within four months from the receipt of the copy of the order.
