(ORAL) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 4 to take appropriate legal action against the private respondent No. 5 under the provisions of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, as he is guilty of solemnizing marriage with the petitioner at the age of 16 years against her wishes. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied if direction is issued to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala to consider and take a final decision on representation dated 17.05.2023 (Annexure P-5) made by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.
