(oral) Learned counsel for the respondents acknowledges, that the present controversy is squarely covered with the decision rendered by this Court in Dr. Ravinder Singh and others V. State of Punjab and others (CWP No.7288 of 2005 decided on 11.05.2006). Learned counsel for the respondents has also informed us, that policy instructions to the aforesaid effect dated 28.05.2007 have also been issued and circulated to all Heads of Departments. Accordingly, learned counsel for the petitioners states, that the claim of the petitioners, as has been raised through the instant writ petition, stands acknowledged in favour of the petitioners. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondents, we are satisfied, that the instant writ petition deserves to be allowed in the same terms as Dr. Ravinder Singh's case (supra). Allowed in the aforesaid terms. The respondents are directed to calculate the arrears CWP No.7769 of 2007 -2- payable to the petitioners within one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and release the same to the petitioners within the aforesaid time.
