(ORAL) This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C for issuance of direction to the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ferozepur to dispose of criminal complaint No.110-1 dated 29.03.2006 within a fixed time frame. It is contended that the case was fixed for precharge evidence vide order dated 06.11.2008. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned to

10.03.2009. One CW was present and examined-in-chief. Cross- examination was deferred for 22.05.2009. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned to cross-examine the petitioner for 21.08.2009 again for a period of three months. It is stated that the other witnesses are the official witnesses. They are not appearing for one reason or the other and the trial Crl. Misc. No.M-37168 of 2010 2 is moving at a snail's pace. The petitioner is stated to be 84 years old. The matter is hanging since the year 2006. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court that the trial be expedited and the matter be finally concluded as soon as possible, preferably within one year.
