The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents and to initiate appropriate action against them.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has filed a representation dated 27.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) before respondent No.2, however, no action has been taken thereon till date.
Notice of motion. Mr. H.S.Wadhwa, DAG Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 2 to decide the representation dated 27.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) qua the threat perception TRIPTI SAINI 2026.03.20 17:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRWP-3184-2026 (O&M) -2- filed by the petitioner in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and to grant immediate protection, if any threat to the life and liberty to the petitioner, is perceived. It is being clarified that this order shall not be taken to grant immunity to the petitioner for legal action for violation of law, if any, committed by him.
