11.3.2005 registered under Sections 498-A and 313 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Sadar, Muktsar and proceedings consequential thereto, which are pending before learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Muktsar, for 11.1.2012. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that during the pendency of the trial, the better sense has prevailed and the parties have amicably settled their scores. He further submits that petitioner No.1-Gurparminderjit Singh and respondent No.3- Kamalpreet Kaur have decided to seek divorce from the competent court of jurisdiction by filing a petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. The agreed amount has been paid to respondent No.3 by way of Demand Draft drawn from Indusind Bank, Mohali in her favour. No other amount is due towards respondent CRM NO. M-32543 of 2011 2 No.3 in respect of this litigation. Learned counsel for respondent No.3, on her instructions, and learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Bashir Singh, admit the execution of compromise and have no objection if the impugned FIR and the proceedings consequential thereto are quashed and the petitioners are acquitted. Heard. In view of the above, FIR No.82 dated 11.3.2005 registered under Sections 498-A and 313 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Sadar, Muktsar and proceedings consequential thereto are hereby quashed. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
