This order shall dispose of the aforesaid appeals, as the same arise out of common acquisition. The land owners have filed appeals seeking enhancement of compensation for the acquired land whereas State of Punjab and Punjab Urban Development Authority (for short 'PUDA') have filed appeals seeking reduction in the amount of compensation. Briefly the facts are that vide notifications dated 12.11.1992 published on 13.11.1992 issued under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short 'the Act'), the State of Punjab acquired land, trees, super-structure, tubewell situated in the area of villages Lambe, Sohana, Mauli Baidwan and Kumbra, Tehsil Kharar, District Rup Nagar for setting up of residential Urban Estate in the area of Tehsil Kharar, District Rup Nagar. Vide Award dated

22.2.1995, the Collector awarded different amount of compensation for the land of different villages. On reference under Section 18 of the Act, the learned Court RFA No. 3522 of 1998 - 18 - assessed the market value of the acquired land of different villages at different rates. The learned court below also enhanced the compensation with regard to fruit/non-fruit bearing trees, structures/ tubewells. Dissatisfied with the award of the learned court below, both the parties have approached this court by filing the present set of appeals. Learned counsel for the parties submitted that the issues sought to be raised in the present set of appeals are squarely covered by the judgment of this court in RFA No. 2348 of 1998 Kapoor Singh vs The State of Punjab and another, decided on 28.1.2010. Accordingly, all the aforesaid appeals are disposed of in terms of Kapoor Singh's case (supra).
