No.55322 of 2010 Allowed as prayed for. Crl. Misc. No.M 30940 of 2010 Prayer is under section 482 Cr.PC for grant of protection on account of threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners no.1 & 2 at the hands of respondents no.4 & 5. Petitioners no1. & 2 claiming themselves to be major have solemnized their marriage against the wishes of the respondent no.4(Massar of petitioner no.1) and respondent no.5 brother of the maternal grandmother (Nani) of petitioner no.1 respectively. Apprehending threat to their life and Crl. Misc. No.M 30940 of 2010(O&M) # 2# liberty at the hands of respondents no.4 & 5 petitioners have invoked jurisdiction of this court under Section 482 Cr.PC. Notice of motion was issued. Learned State Counsel on instruction from ASI Hardev Singh states that now no complaint has been filed before the police by the relatives of the wife regarding her abduction or otherwise. He further states that as and when on account of their marriage any threat received by the petitioner is brought to the notice of police appropriate action shall be taken. After hearing counsel for the parties and keeping in view the aforesaid assurance given by the State this petition is disposed of with directions to the petitioners to present themselves before the Senior Superintendent of Police Ferozepur, whenever any threat to life and liberty is apprehended on account of their marriage and apprise him of such threat, who shall proceed in accordance with law and take appropriate action as the situation may warrant.
