Mr.Deepak Bhardwaj, Advocate, for respondent No.5. RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK, J. (Oral) CRM No.42921 of 2011 Application is allowed subject to just exceptions. Crl. Misc. application stands disposed of. CRM No.M-24365 of 2011 The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, invoking the inherent jurisdiction of this Court seeking direction to the official respondents, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents. Notice of motion was issued. CRM No.M-24365 of 2011 (O&M) 2 On the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the State made a statement, on instructions from HC Jagsir Singh, Police Station Tapa, District Barnala, to the effect that the petitioner was not interested in pursing the present petition because he has already expressed his desire to withdraw his complaint, Annexure P-1. Confronted with the above statement made by the learned counsel for the State, learned counsel for the petitioner sought time to verify that fact. However, today, the learned counsel for the petitioner is not present and a request is made on his behalf for seeking adjournment. Learned counsel for the private respondents submits that civil suit filed by the son of the petitioner is already pending. Be that as it may, the short prayer made by the petitioner is to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents. His representation dated 2.8.2011, Annexure P-1, moved before Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala-respondent No.2, was stated to be pending. In view of the above and to secure the ends of justice, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala-respondent No.2, is directed to look into the matter considering the grievance raised by the petitioner vide representation dated 2.8.2011, Annexure P-1, and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents. CRM No.M-24365 of 2011 (O&M) 3 With the observations made above, the present petition stands disposed of.
