#1. Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in FIR No. 313 dated
14.12.2025 under Sections 333, 117(2), 115(2), 351(2), 191(3), 190 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Police Station Lehra. This is the first petition for anticipatory bail.
#2. On 29.01.2026, following order was passed: “Learned counsel submits that there is a delay of 2 days in lodging the FIR. He has been falsely implicated in the case due to party faction and Block Samiti Elections. Co-accused Krishan Kumar alias Gaurav has been granted interim anticipatory bail by this Court vide order dated
20.01.2026, Annexure P-4 while co-accused Gursewak Singh and Balbir Singh vide Annexures P-2 and P-3 respectively. The petitioner is not involved in any other case and is ready and willing to join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency and will cooperate. Notice of motion. At the asking of the Court, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent- State. CRM-M-4988-2026 (O&M) -2- Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation on or before 09.02.2026. In the event of his arrest, he shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, subject to compliance of conditions as enshrined under Section 482 (2) BNSS. However, it is clarified that if the petitioner does not join and cooperate with the Investigating Agency as required by the Arresting/Investigating Officer, this interim order shall be deemed to have been vacated. Adjourned to 12.03.2026.”
#3. Learned State counsel on instructions from HS Bintu Singh submits that petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation.
#4. Petitioner has joined investigation pursuant to order of this Court dated 29.01.2026 and his further custodial interrogation is not required. In the circumstances of the case but without commenting on merits, the petition is allowed and order dated dated 29.01.2026, granting interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner, is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 482(2) of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.
