Whether reporters of local news papers may be Allowed to see judgment? To be referred to reporters or not? Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? Alok Singh, J. (Oral) Learned Labour Court vide order dated 02.03.1990 directed reinstatement of the workman – respondent with 60% of back wages. This Court while admitting the petition vide order dated 04.03.1991 has directed that workman shall be entitled to the current wages from the date of filing of the writ petition as per the provisions of Section 17-B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. Thereafter, vide order dated 28.10.1991, this Court directed the employer to make compliance of Section 17-B of the Act. Learned counsel for the respondent – workman states that respondent is not employed anywhere. Present petition was filed way back in the year 1990. Employer is paying wages during the pendency of the writ petition under Section 17-B of the Act. No useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending after expiry of almost 20 years, hence, I am not inclined to invoke my supervisory jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Dismissed. A photocopy of this order be placed on the files of the connected matters. November 18, 2010 ( Alok Singh ) Judge C.W.P. No. 12168 of 1990 3
