The present revision petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for giving directions to the Rent Controller, Hoshiarpur to decide the petition under Section 13-B of the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 (for short 'The Act'), which was filed on
09.05.2009.
Vide order dated 07.03.2012, a report was called for from the concerned Rent Controller. Mr. Karamjit Singh Sullar, Rent Controller, Hoshiarpur, who vide letter dated 11.04.2012, has submitted his report that the application under Section 13-B of the Act for leave to contest was disposed of on 23.03.2012. Mr. Aman Dhir, Advocate, counsel for the petitioner verifies this fact, however, clarifies that the order is yet to be pronounced and 24.04.2012 is the date which is kept for pronouncement and arguments have already been heard. Accordingly, keeping in view this fact that the relief prayed for by the petitioner has been granted, no further orders are called for. The present revision petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. It is, however, made clear that the petitioner shall be at liberty to file an appropriate application in case there is further delay in pronouncement of orders.
