The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking for a direction to the opposite parties to acquire their land as per the provisions of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 or passage may be given to them to cultivate their land in Khata No.10, Plot No.19/58 measuring an area Ac.2.00 of village Kaudia in the district of Jagatsinghpur. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners may be given liberty to file a representation before the Order No.
Special Land Acquisition Officer (MIP), Jagatsinghpur, opposite party no.2 highlighting the grievances and direction may be given to the opposite party no.2 to dispose of the said representation within a specified period. Learned counsel for the State has no objection to such submission. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we dispose of the writ petition directing that if the petitioners file a representation highlighting the grievances with all supportive documents within a period of four weeks from today, Special Land Acquisition Officer (MIP), Jagatsinghpur, opposite party no.2 shall take a decision on the same in accordance with law and pass appropriate order within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order by the petitioners.
