Heard Mr.T.P.Tripathy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.K.Nanda, learned Addl. Government Advocate.
According to Mr.Tripathy though L.A. Case No. 40 of 2020, which was instituted on her request under Section 64 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, is still pending before the Presiding Officer, L.A.R & R Authority, Cuttack (opposite party No.2) without the same being disposed of. In such background he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to conclude the above noted proceeding within a specific time period.
Considering submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Presiding Officer, L.A.R & R Authority, Cuttack (opposite party No.2) to make all endeavour to dispose of the above noted proceeding in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, if there is no other impediment.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. // 2 //
