#4. STATE OF KERALA, REP. BY THE CHIEF SECRETARY TO THE GOVT. GOVT. SECRETARIAT, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM. BY GOVERNMENT PLEADER MR. SANDESH RAJA THIS WRIT APPEAL HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 09/01/2007, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING: K.A.ABDUL GAFOOR & K.R. UDAYABHANU, JJ. ============================== W.A.NO. 52 OF 2007 ============================ DATED THIS THE 9TH DAY OF JANUARY 2007 JUDGMENT Abdul Gafoor,J. Admittedly the writ appellants are casual employees. They approached this Court seeking regularisation of their appointment. The learned single Judge had shown indulgence to them that their services should not be terminated till the vacancies are being filled up either from the candidates sponsored by the Employment Exchange or from the open recruitment. That is sufficient relief for casual employees. They cannot anyhow seek regularisation in the light of the recent Constitution Bench decision of the Supreme Court reported in Secretary, State of Karnataka & others. v. Umadevi and others [(2006)4 SCC 1]. The writ appeal is closed accordingly. ks. Sd/- K.A.ABDUL GAFOOR JUDGE Sd/- K.R.UDAYABHANU, JUDGE
