O R D E RIn this Petition filed under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. the petitioner who is the accused in O.R.No.1 of 2008 of Poongod Forest Station, Chittanda, Thrissurfor an offence punishable under Secs. 27(1)(c)(iii) and (iv) of Kerala Forest Act, 1961 (Amendment Act of 1993),seeks anticipatory bail.

I heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.

Having regard to the nature of the allegations levelled against the petitioner and the other circumstances of the case, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, adirection is issued to the officer-in-charge of the police station concerned to release the petitioner on bail for aperiod of one month in the event of his arrest in connection with the above case on his executing a bond B.A.No. 2373 /08-:2:-for Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) with two solvent sureties each for the like amount to the satisfaction of the said of.ficer and subject to the following conditions: 1. Petitioner shall report before the Investigating Officer between 9a.m. and 11 a.m. on allWednesdays.2. The petitioner shall make himself available for interrogation as and when required by the Investigating Officer. 3. The petitioner shall not influence or intimidate the prosecution witnesses nor shall he attempt to tamper with the evidence for the prosecution.

Petitioner shall not commit any offence while on bail.
