M.SASIDHARAN NAMBIAR, J.---------------------------------------B.A. No. 749 of 2012 ----------------------------------------Dated this the 13th day of February, 2012ORDER Petitioner is the first accused in Crime No.1070/2011 of Peroorkada Police Station registered for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 308 r/w Section 34 of IPC and Section27 of Arms Act.2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learnedPublic Prosecutor were heard.3. Learned counsel submitted that as petitioner was arrested on 16.1.2012 and has been in custody since then. Hefiled Crl.M.C.191/2012 before Sessions Court, Thiruvananthapuram, but that was dismissed on 30.1.2012 and petitioner is prepared to abide by any condition and he be released on bail. 4. Learned Public Prosecutor opposed the petition. It is submitted that petitioner is a known rowdy of the locality and involved in six other cases of similar nature previously and B.A. No. 749 of 2012-2-petitioner may not be released on bail at this stage. Considering the nature of the offences alleged, the possibility of the petitioner intimidating or threatening the witnesses, it is not in the interest of justice to release the petitioner on bail at this stage.
